COUNCIL ACTIVITIES

MINUTES FROM 11/22/06 AND 12/27/06

This is a combined minute report for the council meetings for Nov. and Dec. The Dec. Meeting was for only 15 minutes followed by a social event.  The Council meeting for Nov. was called to order at 7:05 pm by the Grand Knight.  A prayer (Our Father) was lead by the Grand Knight as well as the "Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag".  A motion was made to except the minutes from the last meeting.  A second was made to the motion and all voted for the acceptance of the minutes.  Because this meeting was the night before Thanksgiving, there was a sparse membership present. This resulted in a short meeting. The following officers were present; Grand Knight, Deputy Grand Knight, Chancellor, Treasurer, Recorder and Outside Guard.

The following is therefore a combination of both the Nov. and Dec. Council meetings:

       From the Grand Knight:

       1. Joshua Norris is a new member, and Kevin Finn may be a reactivated member.

       2. He read a thank you letter from the Carmalites for our contribution to them.

       4. He offered a challenge of a blood drive for our council with that from Immaculate Conception
       5. He encouraged all members to sign up for duties concerning the decorations of the Cathedral for
           Christmas
       6. He mentioned there will be a 1st degree available on odd months of next year beginning with
           Jan. and ending with Nov.
       7. He encouraged attendance at the knights Jan. Bowl-athon held at Enterprise Lanes
       8. He concluded with a mention that the last council's last monthly breakfast went well.

         From the Chaplin:

       1. Msrg. Westheus was "under the weather" for the Nov. meeting and could not attend.

      Treasurer's and Financial Secretaries Reports:

Indicated a positive report concerning the finances of the Council.

     Unfinished and New Buisness:

       1. The Treasurer mentioned that the Silent Auction time for during the Council's monthly breakfast
           has not changed.

       2. It was mentioned that the Bartenders Ball will go on as scheduled at the Howard Johnson's
"Oasis Inn & Convention Center" on North Glenstone
       3. The next council meeting will be a social event with the members and their wives

     From the Insurance Agent:

Not present, therefore nothing to report.

    From the District Deputy:
