COUNCIL ACTIVITIES

 

 

MINUTES FROM 07/25/07

       The Grand Knight led the Council in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag and "The Our
       Father".  The roll of officers was called.  The following officers were not present; 
       Chancellor, Recorder, First year Trustee, Financial Secretary. 

   From the Grand Knight:

       1.  There was a discussion concerning a new member, Dale Deckard to join our council.
            There was a call for a vote.  It was unanimous to let him join the council.

 

       2.  There will be a First Degree on 8/28/07 at 6:45 pm at Holy Trinity.

       3.  There will be a 2nd and 3rd Degree on 10/28/07 at Monet.

       4.  There was a motion to discuss helping with the construction of the stairs at the
            Pallotti Center and help the Men’s Club of the Parish to construct a monument.
            More discussion was to be considered.

       5.  There will be a Blood Drive on 07/18/07 from 8-11am in the Band Room.

       6.  We will pass out Rosary Rings before the 11:30 am Mass. Be there by 11:15am

       7.  Suit, tie and name tag will be required for the installation ceremonies for Council
            Officers after the 11:30 am Mass.  A family get together will follow.

         8.  There will be a District Deputy Meeting )7/28/07.  Tim, Ryan and Mark will attend.  
         9. The next Council BBQ will be after the 11:30 am and 5:00 pm Masses.  Be there
           in time to get set up.		  
        10.  Our Council will have an advertisement on the back of the Church Bulletin.  
       11.  The Tootsie Roll Drive will be held on 10/12-14/07 at the Republic WallMart.  
       12.  The Grand Knight requested pictures to be taken at Council activities and
              e-mailed to him.		  
       13.  Everyone is invited to Treasure Lake in Branson for "Fun in the Sun" on 08/12/07.  
         14.  The St. Agnes Kitchen needs a commercial can opener. The Council will buy them one.
              Randy Friga donated some knives from the Council's supplies.		  
         15.  Ann Compton spoke about the Centennial Celebration for St. Agnes Parish.  We will
              try to do something throughout the year including something at Trivia Night 11/16/07
              and Emerald Evening 10/20/07		  

        

     From the Chaplin:

        Father Mike spoke about the success of our Council and the impact it had at St. Agnes.  He
        also mentioned how the church community needs to recognize each other and be persistent with
        being a community.  He discussed the possibility of the church having a 10
        Commandment Monument made of marble.

      

 

      Treasurer's and Financial Secretaries Reports:

        Indicated a positive state of the finances of the Council.

      Closing of Meeting:

         Closing of meeting was lead by the Grand Knight as well as the Closing prayer, Hail
         Mary.
