COUNCIL ACTIVITIES

The May, 2010 meeting was called to order by the Deputy Knight at 7:01 pm, followed
by the “Our Father” and “Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag”. All officers were present
except the Chaplin, Grand Knight, Warden, Inside Guard, Outside Guard and 2nd Year
Trustee. A total of 18 knights were present. The minutes were approved by common
procedure.

From the Grand Knight:

1. The Deputy Grand Knight mentioned Tim McNeese may transfer into our Council
from Our Lady of the Lake.

2. The D.G.K. led the elections of Council officers for the next year. All officers were
installed by acclamation procedure except for one of the Trustees. Results of new
officers were:

Grand Knight = John Kubicek Advocate = James Tuckness
Deputy Grand Knight = Chris Neal Inside Guard = Mark Wand
Recorder = Gary Momphard Outside Guard = Greg Gloeckner
Chancellor = Jim Grier 1^st Year Trustee = Keith Norten

Treasurer = Ben Francka 3^rd Year Trustee = Erwin Mantei (runoff
Financial Secretary = Randy Friga between John Wooldridge and Erwin

3. The D.G.K. mentioned the realignment of some district Councils

Treasurer's and Financial Secretary’s Reports:

       The Treasurer reported on the bills and money received from activities after the last
council meeting. Also, he mentioned that financial condition of the Council was in
good condition and reported the amount of monies the Council had in the bank.
The Financial Secretary’s report indicated the Council’s financial condition was in
good shape.

Unfinished and New Business:

Various items were addressed.

1. John Smithberg reported on the success of Council and Parish Bingo activities.

2. Tim Griese reported on the Sunset Stroll for Friday, May 7^th. He mentioned the
lack of people present, and the distribution of people from the different parishes.

3. The D. G. K. reported the Softball game was cancelled and it should be rescheduled.
John Smithberg said he would talk to Fr. Phillip to reschedule it in the next few weeks.

4. The D. G. K. led the discussion on the first Council BBQ of the summer. It is scheduled
after the 11:30am and 5:00pm Sunday Masses, June 13^th because of Fathers day, the
following Sunday.

5. The D.G.K. also mentioned that the elections for Parish Council are up-coming soon
and that Ben Francka is stepping down as a member from that council.

6. The D. G. K. also mentioned Council members should try to help in the Special
Olympics activities.

From the Insurance Agent:

We should keep Dave Eiler, past Branson G. K. and others in our prayers.

Closing of Meeting:

The D.G. K. closed the meeting with the “Hail Mary” and the “Glory Be”.

June 13^th---Council’s first summer BBQ after the 11:30 am and 5:00 pm Masses
on the St. Agnes Cathedral elementary school grounds. Helpers
get there by 11:00 am and 5:00 pm respectively.

June 20^th----Father’s Day

June 23^rd-----St. Agnes Council Meeting at 7:00 pm in Band Room of St. Agnes
Cathedral elementary school.
